First ‘Morbius’ Trailer Lays Some Interesting Easter Eggs

Jared Leto is returning to the big screen as a comic book villain, but this time he is jumping from the DC Universe to the Marvel Universe. Leto will be debuting as the Spider-Man Super Villain-slash-Vampire Morbius on the aptly titled feature Morbius. Morbius is the second film in the SUMC (Sony Universe of Marvel Characters) after Venom. Catch the first trailer below…

The first surprise in this trailer is that there is a poster of Spider-Man in the background of one scene. Not only is this the first sign of the wall crawler in the SUMC, but the poster also has “Murderer” gratified over Spider-Man. This seemingly references the fact that Peter Parker was accused of killing Quentin Beck / Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home. The graffiti hints towards the long rumored connection between the SUMC and the MCU.

Our next big surprise was the appearance of Adrian Toomes / Vulture. At the very end of the trailer Michael Keaton, who first appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming as the villain The Vulture, makes an appearance. This is our second bread crumb on the path to a potential MCU connection.

What do you think of the first look at Morbius? Sound of below!
